About this tool
Ladder toppling lets you enter participants and results, then draws a random ladder that connects each person to one outcome. Create a share link and everyone who opens it sees the exact same ladder โ when anyone reveals a name, that reveal appears live on every screen.
How to use
- Enter participant names and results (leave blanks and they fill in with sample values).
- Pick how many participants (2 to 8) and press "Start Ladder."
- Tap a name chip, or press "Reveal All," to trace the path down to a result.
- Press "Share Result" to send the link โ anyone who opens it can tap their own name on the same ladder.
Frequently asked questions
- Is the ladder result random, or can it be rigged?
- Each new ladder uses a fresh random seed to place its rungs, so the path is different every time and cannot be predicted in advance.
- If a friend refreshes the shared link, does the result change?
- No. Opening the same room link (?room=) shows the ladder that was already created and whatever has been revealed so far โ the ladder itself is never reshuffled.
- Can I change the participants or results after starting?
- Not once the ladder has started. Press "Start Over" to return to the setup screen and build a new ladder.
- How long does the room stay available?
- Rooms are kept for 7 days after creation and cleaned up automatically afterward. Anyone with the link can reopen it and keep revealing results within that window.
