About this tool

A big-screen timer and stopwatch. Start common durations instantly with presets like a 3-minute ramen timer or a 7-minute soft-boiled egg timer, or enter any number of minutes yourself. The stopwatch works just as well for timing a presentation, workout intervals, or recording lap times.

How to use

  1. Choose timer or stopwatch mode.
  2. For the timer, tap a preset or enter minutes yourself, then press start.
  3. For the stopwatch, press start and tap lap at each interval to record it.
  4. The timer plays a sound when it finishes, and reset lets you start over anytime.
  5. Tap "Play with friends" to get an invite link โ€” the mode, duration, and the exact end time are sent to whoever opens it, so everyone finishes at the same instant. It shares the absolute end time rather than the remaining time, so there is no drift between devices.

Frequently asked questions

Will the timer still ring accurately if I am on another tab?
The remaining time itself is always calculated from the actual end timestamp, so it stays accurate even after switching tabs and back. However, the alert sound plays while this tab is active and running, so if the timer is left fully backgrounded, you may miss the sound at the exact moment it finishes. Keep the tab open and visible if you want to hear the alert.
What presets are available?
There are presets for 3 minutes (ramen), 7 minutes (soft-boiled egg), 10 minutes, and 25 minutes (Pomodoro), plus a field to enter any number of minutes.
How many lap times does the stopwatch keep?
Up to the 20 most recent laps, with the newest one shown at the top of the list.
What does the alert sound come from?
No audio file is downloaded - a short bell tone (about 1.2 seconds) is generated on the fly using the browser's Web Audio API.
Can I use this with friends?
Yes. Tap "Play with friends" to get an invite link โ€” the mode, set duration, and end time are pushed live to everyone in the room. It shares the absolute end time rather than time remaining, so it finishes at exactly the same instant even if each device's clock is slightly off.
