About this tool
Calculate how many days lie between two dates, or find the date that is a given number of days before or after a reference date. Useful for contract deadlines, D-day countdowns, travel planning, and any task that needs date arithmetic.
How to use
- Choose "Between two dates" or "Date N days later".
- In the between-dates mode, enter a start date and an end date.
- In the N-days mode, enter a base date, a number of days, and a direction (later/earlier).
- Results update as soon as you change any value.
Frequently asked questions
- Does the day count between two dates include the start date?
- The main number is the plain difference between the two dates, so it does not include the start date - January 1 to January 2 is 1 day. The total including the start date is shown separately in the detail line as "n days including start date".
- Can I find out what date is 100 days from today?
- Yes. In "Date N days later" mode, set the base date to today, the amount to 100, and the direction to later, and the resulting date and weekday appear instantly.
- Can I calculate dates in the past too?
- Yes. In between-dates mode the end date can be earlier than the start date. In N-days mode, switch the direction to earlier to get a date before the base date.
- What do the weeks and days in the result mean?
- The "n weeks m days" shown in the detail line is the start-date-exclusive day count divided by 7, as quotient and remainder.
