About this tool

This PDF tool merges several PDF files into one, or extracts just the pages you want from a single PDF into a new file. Everything runs in your browser the moment you add files, so the document content is never sent to a server.

How to use

  1. Choose merge or split mode.
  2. For merge, drop in multiple PDFs; for split, drop in a single PDF.
  3. For split, enter the page range you want (e.g. 1-3,5).
  4. Click the merge or split button to save the resulting PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?
No. From the moment you select files to merging, splitting, and saving, everything happens in your browser and the document content never leaves the page.
What order do the pages end up in when merging?
Files are appended in the order you added them. You can remove a file from the list with the ร— button, but to change the order you need to re-add the files in the order you want.
How do I enter a page range for splitting?
Use commas to combine ranges and single pages, like "1-3,5". That example extracts pages 1, 2, 3, and 5.
Does this work with password-protected PDFs?
PDFs with only print/copy restrictions usually still open, but files that require a password just to view may not be processed. Remove the password first and re-upload.
