About this tool

Instead of reading "I can do anything except Tuesday" twenty times in a group chat, let everyone paint the times that work for them. Set the candidate dates and hours, share the link, and anyone who opens it can join with just a name and drag across the slots they are free. The grid darkens as more people overlap, and the three best-matching stretches are picked out automatically.

How to use

  1. Name the event and pick several candidate dates on the calendar.
  2. Choose the daily time range and the step size (15 min, 30 min or 1 hour), then create it.
  3. Send the generated link to your group.
  4. Everyone types their name, drags across the times they are free, and saves.
  5. Read the heatmap and the suggested times to decide when to meet.

Frequently asked questions

Does anyone need an account?
No. A name is all it takes, and anyone with the link can join immediately.
Can I change my answer later?
Come back with the same name and save again to overwrite it. If you are worried about someone editing under your name, set a 4-digit PIN the first time you save; after that only someone who knows the PIN can change that name. Returning in the same browser fills your name and PIN back in.
Does painting work on a phone?
Yes. Drag with your finger to paint, and drag over painted cells again to erase. Swipe sideways if there are more days than fit.
What if no time works for everyone?
The tool says so, then lists the three stretches with the most overlap. Tap any cell to see exactly who can and cannot make it, which usually shows that shifting one or two people is enough.
How long is it kept?
The event and all responses are deleted automatically 90 days after creation. The deletion date is shown on the page.
Can anyone see it?
Anyone with the link can. The address is a hard-to-guess random string, so it will not turn up in search, but it is not a password. Avoid putting sensitive details in the event name.

Events and responses are deleted automatically after 90 days. Only the event name, candidate times, participant names and selected slots are stored, and no sign-in is required. Anyone with the link can view it, so avoid sensitive details. Up to 100 people can join one event.
