About this tool
Converts a jeonse (lump-sum key money) deposit into a monthly rent, or figures out the rent when lowering the deposit. Enter the original deposit, the new lower deposit, and a conversion rate to see the resulting monthly rent.

- How is the monthly rent calculated?
- Monthly rent = (original deposit - new deposit) x conversion rate / 12.
- Where does the default 5.5% rate come from?
- It is a rough reference figure. Korea's legal cap is tied to the Bank of Korea base rate plus 2 percentage points (or 10%, whichever is lower), so check the current figure before signing a contract.
