About this tool
Enter a list price and a discount rate (%) to get the sale price and how much you saved, or enter the sale price to get the discount rate. The two fields are linked, so editing either one instantly recalculates the other.
How to use

- If you know the discount rate, type it in the rate field; if you only know the sale price, type it there instead.

Frequently asked questions
- Can I enter either the discount rate or the sale price?
- Yes. Entering the discount rate calculates the sale price, and entering the sale price calculates the discount rate. Whichever field you edited last drives the recalculation of the other.
- If something is 30% off, how much do I pay?
- You pay 70% of the list price, since 30% is taken off. For example, a 10,000 KRW item becomes 7,000 KRW, and you save 3,000 KRW.
- If I only know the sale price, can I find the discount rate?
- Yes. Enter the sale price in that field and this calculator works backward using (list price - sale price) / list price x 100 to show the discount rate.
- Can this handle stacked discounts or coupons?
- This calculator handles a single discount at a time. For discounts applied one after another, take the sale price from the first calculation and run it through again as the new list price.
This is a simple percentage discount calculation. Actual stores and shopping sites may apply different rules, such as instant card discounts, stacked coupons, or maximum discount caps.
